Laural grew up in the bush of Warrandyte, Victoria in the 70’s which has traditionally been a heavily art-centric community. With a style that is colourful, vibrant and bold, her artworks are playful, surreal and slightly quirky because she believes art should make us smile and feel good. At other times her work can be deeper and a little dark as she explores topics she feels passionate about, such as the plight of women in modern society and the atrophy of our natural world.
Laural studied a Visual Arts Diploma (Painting & Drawing) at the Cooloola Sunshine Institute of Tafe (CSIT) in Noosaville in 2000-01 and has since sold her paintings to art enthusiasts from all over the world. She has lived in some beautiful parts of the world including Noosa Heads, Goa and the island of Cebu in the Philippines which have all imparted their own unique influences upon her creativity.
